Hair Diaries: My Thick Hair Glow-UP ✨

If you’ve got thick hair, you know it comes with… opinions. My hair has always had a mind of its own—it frizzes, it flops, it does everything except what I want. Back in the eighties, though? Oh, it was fabulous. Big hair was the dream, and I had it nailed. Dorothy Hamill cuts, Markie Post flips, and enough mousse and Aqua Net to stop traffic. My hair lived its best life.

Fast-forward to today’s trends: sleek, straight strands with casual “I-woke-up-like-this” waves. Easy for some. For me? It’s a full-blown workout—five tools, hours of effort, and instant defeat if the humidity so much as looks my way.

For years, I didn’t even bother experimenting. I was a Costco shampoo-and-conditioner gal, hauling home the jumbo jugs and calling it a day. But then—plot twist—I wandered into Ulta. (I was looking at buying blue eyeshadow – joking!) but I left with samples of something much better.

Enter Cecred.

I tried the shampoo first—tiny little scrubby beads that made my scalp feel like it was getting a spa treatment. The squeaky-clean rinse was a total surprise, and the scent? Heavenly. Then came the Cecred Hair Mask and I swear, my hair instantly felt sleeker. Like… it listened to me for once. Top it off with the Cecred Hydrating Oil and suddenly my frizz was gone, my shine was on, and my straightener only needed one quick pass.

I didn’t believe it at first. But the next morning? Same glossy results. So yes, I immediately bought the line. The bonus? The bottles are gorgeous. A little glam for my bathroom shelf never hurts. Oh—and did I mention it’s Beyoncé’s brand? You go, Queen B. 👑

And just when I thought things couldn’t get better, I leveled up with the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. Friends, this thing is witchcraft. My drying time went from 25 minutes down to about 10. That’s half the time and half the arm ache. Plus, it doesn’t roast my strands—it leaves them smooth, shiny, and ready to style.

Now? Thick hair doesn’t scare me anymore. Between Cecred and my Dyson, I finally feel like I’ve cracked the code.
